self-defense. PHYSICAL – you will improve your strength,

INTERNAL - our students learn to spot danger and avoid
dangerous people, places and activities.
We Help
You Improve Your Health: Our martial arts lessons
will dramatically improve your cardiovascular health. Your
resting heart rate will come down and your ability to
maintain an increased heart rate will increase. You'll
breathe better, sleep better, and even feel an increase in
energy and effectiveness all day long. You may even discover
you're more resistant to colds and the flu. When you do
become sick, your recovery time will be better than ever.

STYLES
|
The term "Tae Kwon Do" is a Korean term
that essentially means "The way of the hand and foot".
Tae Kwon Do differs from other karate styles in
that the stress is placed on foot techniques -- 80% of the
techniques are kicks. The reason for this is that the legs are
longer and more powerful, and with practice, reflexes can be
developed to be as fast as or faster than the arms, thus offering
much advantage over your opponent.
Tae Kwon Do develops concentration, speed, power,
strength, accuracy, balance and coordination. It is a form of
self-defense and a rising sport; at the same time, it is an
excellent way to stay in condition, since practicing utilizes
every single muscle in the body.
We teach
traditional Tae Kwon Do utilizing modern teaching methods and
strategies. What this means is that while we focus on developing
the concepts of respect, courtesy, integrity, and self-control, we
do not ignore developments in modern physical training.
We focus on proper martial arts development with
an emphasis on practical self-defense. However, Tae Kwon Do is a
sport as well. So while we emphasize self-defense, we do train our
students about the basics of Tae Kwon Do competition. If a student
wishes to pursue this avenue further, we can provide additional
training as well

Combat Hapkido is geared towards today’s busy adults who want to
learn valuable self-defense skills.
We take a scientific approach to instruction, and
years of research and development allow us to teach the most
effective techniques and strategies. It is our goal to
provide an effective system of self-defense through a teaching
program that starts you on the path of improved self-defense
capabilities right away. We teach the "science of
self-defense", that has proven methods of defensive tactics,
learning, and retention.
Combat Hapkido is ideal for those individuals,
that is law enforcement officers, busy professionals, mothers,
etc…, who do not have the time to commit themselves to the
demanding study of a traditional martial art.
Our style of Hapkido is pure self-defense.
Most people will begin to obtain valuable self-protection skills
from the very first class and continue to enhance these skills in
successive classes. The ability to protect oneself give the
student peace of mind, a feeling that is priceless!

The system of Escrima that
we teach includes: combative hands, combative
knife, and combative sticks. Arnis is a very unique martial art
that originated in the Philippines over a thousand years ago. It
differs greatly from other arts, in that all ranges of conflict
are covered. These are; weapons, kicking, punching and grappling.
An Arnisador is a functional
fighter in any range. In self defense you must be fluent in more
than one range. This is why Arnis is a more complete system of
combat and is a great complementary system to add to all other
arts of self defense. While Arnis is a relatively new art to the
U.S., it is taking the martial arts world by storm. Arnis, an art
proven in combat, is on the cutting edge of self defense. Its
reactive flow drills are some of the most sought after in the
world. The drills are the vehicle to teaching a person the
techniques and flow, as well as increasing there conditioning.
In the world we live in
today, violence is becoming more of an every day occurrence. The
average person does not have to be "Bruce Lee" or a
karate kid, however they do need some type of reality based
survival skills in order to be able to walk with confidence and
security. THIS is what we are offering. A basic self defense class
that will be focused on real life situations and physical fitness.
The training will be kept REAL, but FUN and ENJOYABLE for all.
